Canterbury Rugby League

Hi, Today I am telling you about my Canterbury Rugby League. We had a trial for the Canterbury Rugby League. The best people from each team were in a trial for the Canterbury Rugby League team. I and most of my Club Rugby League team made it in.

We had heaps trainings until the day we face the West Coast 11's even know we were the 10's we faced the 11's because every time we v.s our own grade demolish them. We were on the bus and Jacob started taking pictures of people.

Straight away we watched the 9's play the ten's. We were in the stands watching them play the 10's West Coast. They lost probably because they felt sick on the bus. Then it was our turn we ran out and got into kick off set. We lost by 2 points considering our Prop and me our Fullback felt sick plus Jacob got hurt on the bus.

The Next day we were all fine and when we got to the field's we were pumped up and the canterbury team that were on the stands were singing the canterbury song. We ran out and we kicked off. They knocked the ball on and we got the ball back. We scored the first set so they had kick to us. We got try after try after try and we ended waiting for the siren to sound and ran on to the field and celebrated because it isn't who wins it's who scores the most point between the two teams and we won by heaps of points.

The hardest thing about this post was writing it all.

Fidget Spinner Arguement

Fidget Spinners

Hi, today i'm going to show you my fidget spinner argument. It's about whether we should be aloud to bring them into class and work while using them. If you don't know what a Fidget Spinner is here is one. They have been at the school for about 2 terms now.

I think Fidget Spinners should be allowed at school because, not only do they help some people focus, they also help people have fun.

They are especially good when you have quiet ones. Every type of fidget spinner is also meant to help Autistic and ADHD kid's focus a lot more.

Fidget Spinners can also be cheap. I have three cheap ones and they all look cool and are silent.

So these are are the reasons I think Fidget Spinners should be aloud at school.

The thing I found hard was finding a fidget spinner with Donald Trump on it.

Timbernook

Hi guys it's Hunter, today i'm telling you about the fun I had at Timbernook. Timbernook is like a forest. It is fun because we got to make a base. Now onto the recount.

When It was time to leave I was sitting next to Angus on the bus. We talked about what we were going to build, we were going to build a hut with Kevin, Jesse and Kaunteya. Then we didn't really talk at all when we finished talking about that.

Then we arrived. We walked to a big building and put our bags there then we just went to sit down because we had to listen to the rules. After that we had a sound off. A sound off is when you have the whole school and make up a name for the class. We couldn't really hear the other classes. But most of the people in our class apart from Jesse and I wanted respectful Rata roar.

After that we went off to build a base. Angus, Jesse, Kevin, Kaunteya and I found a couple of good spots but everyone invaded them. We finally found a good spot that no one invaded. We had it all planned out we a lot of string, rope and tree leather. The only downside was it was next to a barbed wire fence.

Then it was morning tea. Most of everyone didn't even eat morning tea. While I was out get materials Dylan and Levi were breaking and stealing every part of the base. I came back Chrysler started breaking the entrance. We got really angry and started upgrading the base by getting more materials and joining forces with Rory. Rory had tarp and a camo net.

Then it was lunch time, we were eating lunch and Dylan broke the hole base. So we joined forces with Zyon and we made the best and biggest base there. Dylan said he wanted war so we alright. We got lot's of big branches and reinforced the base. Dylan started sending Noah and Shade to scout our base.

Then the war begun. I said the first one to break the other team's base wins the war. He sent Noah to break the base but he didn't go to the base he went for people. After a while he went back. Kaunteya went to look at the base but Dylan started to hurt him so he came back. Kevin went over there and started to get there base but he came back because they were guarding. They came to attack so we sent Kaunteya and Brooklyn. They started demolishing there base, we got excited because we won the war. Most of it was just for fun. Next we took the bus back to school.

The Journey Begins

Hi guy's it;s Hunter back with another post, today i'm showing you my journey narrative and I will share my journey animation with you. Here is the writing.

The Journey Begins

BOOM!!!! Kaunteya launched a missile towards his own plane because Hunter and Jesse took it and left him behind by accident. They landed in a jungle and Kuntea took a back up plane all the way over here to say “you’se left me behind”. But his backup plane was out of fuel. So they couldn’t make it back.

Then Hunter and Jesse said they were sorry and we need to find some shelter. They explored for a couple of hour’s and finally they found a temple. Then they explored it and Kaunteya found a couple of Katanas/Swords and he gave us 1 each. Next Jesse got off the throne that he found and he started having a sword fight with Hunter. Kaunteya is shooting at the zombie. Next  Kaunteya said “follow me”.

So they followed him into a magical white and yellow room and they all said WOW!!! They all went close to it and they said “what do we do with it. Hunter said “we might have to put our hands on this magical stone.

All of us put our hands on it and we teleport all the way across the amazon and Mexico, to land in Hollywood

Then we live happily ever after.

Pluto Create Task

My Fidget Spinners

Hi , today I am going to show you my Fidget Spinners, Fidget Spinners are really cool because you can Fidget with them when you are bored and they can help people focus if they have trouble focusing. At the moment I am working on making a Fidget Spinner collection, the first Fidget Spinner that I got is lost at the moment because I left it on the couch one day and now I can't find it anywhere. Here is the Fidget Spinners that I havn't lost.













This one has six sides and has small metal ball bearings instead of the regular bearings. It's average spin time is about 2 minutes. It is my newest Fidget Spinner and it is my best one to.

This is my oldest Fidget Spinner if you don't include my first one. it has regular scooter bearings and it's average spin time is 1 minute and 15 seconds. I swapped the parts that you use to hold the Fidget Spinner with my second newest one.

This is my second newest and is definitely my smoothest one, spins for about as long as my green one. It is the funnest to do tricks with because it's heavy and that makes it the hardest to do tricks with.

The hardest thing about this post was trying to make sure my finger wasn't in the photo but I failed at that.

Hi guys it's Hunter back with another post, today we Rata has been learning about Chris Hadfield and planets we could possibly live on. At the moment we can only live on earth, for thirty minutes we have been watching Chris Hadfield videos, one of his videos are named how to brush your teeth in space. My favourite video of his is how to sleep in space. It would be amazing to live in space. Here is a link to his channel. Chris Hadfield's Channel. I learnt that you are more likely to live on a moon from any other planet than you are to actually live on the planet, unless it's earth.

Mathletics Addition And Subtraction Test

Hi guys it's Hunter with another post, today Rimu have done Mathletics. I got up to my Addition and Subtraction test. I got 100% on my test, where it says perfect it means you have completed it, I just finished the module today. Here is a image of the module and the test.

Mathletics Update

Hi guys it's Hunter here back with another post, today I will be explaining a question off mathletics. Mathletics has had a update over the holidays. On mathletics today I have done my Basic Facts test I got 100%, I also done Composing Additions to 20 which is what I will be explaining today. Here is how I got it.

First you look at the question, you have 1 and 13 which equals 14. Then you have a selection of 3 numbers. The numbers that I had are 4, 2 and 10. I chose 4 and 10 because that equals 14. So there you go it balances and you have got it correct.













I found explaining the hardest thing about this post, also my next step is to explain a harder question.

The Best Moment Of My Holidays

Hi guys it's Hunter back with another post, today I will be talking about the best moments in my holidays. The main bit of my holidays was Rugby League. It is my favourite thing in the world to do. I also like to relax. I am going to show you my doc, but I will not be putting the doc on to my blog because it is harder to read than just the words.

The Best Moment Of My Holidays

The best moment in the holidays was when we played the Riccarton Knightsand the Halswell Hornets. My team is the Hornby Panthers. We have been undefeated since I was in the nursery grade. When we played the Hornets we won 42 to 0. I got no tries but I topped the tackle count with 57 tackles, but when we played Riccarton I got 2 tries and got second in the tackle count, with 43 tackles. But the moment that stood out the most was my first try against riccarton. We mucked up our play by getting bunched in the middle. So I yelled give me the ball because they were talking about who we are going to be playing next. So they gave me the ball I stepped there halfback and sprinted straight down the middle to score 4 points, I also sent the ball flying down the middle of the post.

The second best thing that happened was the first week of the holidays were I got to stay at my best friends Blake and Bryce's house for 3 days of the week and we stayed at my house for 2, but unfortunately Bryce had to go up north that whole week. While I was at there house, Blake and I went down the road to his school. They have a quarter pipe at their school, they also have a bank. When I say bank I don't mean the bank that you put money in. I mean where there is a wooden rectangle box with 4 sides but two of them with a ramp. While we were at my house we were probably on the couch or I was teaching Blake how to do a front flip or a ka-boom. The most fun part about my tramp is we get to play don’t touch the balls. This game is about putting soccer or Rugby League balls on the tramp and trying to dodge them. If you touch it you lose, if you jump and the ball goes of the tramp you go off and try to throw it at the person that is on the tramp.

The third best part of my holidays was going to chipmunks because me and a few other kids had a war in the foam gun place. Me and one kid were playing against his big brother and his twin. We agreed that it was even, even know the other team had someone older we said it was even because I and the other guy kept getting him. Then he got my teammate by throwing the ball throw the hole where the gun was. So I snuck down to the bottom of his base and grabbed the hidden foam sword that they have, they brung about 5 of them, but I only grabbed 1. Next I snuck up there base and hid behind him and SLASH!!!! I cut the bag that he had kept is bullets in. I quickly grabbed all his bullets and ran back to my base and shot him with the foam bullet, i got his hair. Then I unfortunately had to go home because my Mom had to go get a warrant.

The rest of the holidays we stayed home and chilled on the couch. It is so comfy in the middle but to the left and the right it’s not as comfy because there isn’t enough springs on those sides. If I wasn’t on the couch I would be in my room on my ipad or I would be outside running around on the lawn or doing front flips on the tramp. The second time I did a front flip I landed on my neck and CLICK!!! My neck clicked and I had to stay inside for the rest of the holidays, but nothing bad happened to my neck Dad just said I had to stay inside. For the rest of the time I was on my Ipad playing Advanced Warfare or playing WWE with my brother or watching the Auckland Warriors play the Sydney Roosters. The Auckland Warriors got 14 points and the Sydney Roosters got 13. My favourite player is Roger Tuivasa Sheck. He got 1 try and set 1 up. My second favourite player is Billy Slater but 2017 is his last year for Rugby League and then he is retiring.

My Technology

Hi guy's it's Hunter here i'm back with another post. Today i'm talking about what Technology I have. I have 4 types of Technology. I have a Ipad mini, Chromebook, Xbox one s and I share a computer with my brother. My favourite device is my Ipad mini I also like my Xbox one s. The two things i'm saving up for are a virtual reality headset and a Mad Gear vx6 extreme vortex scooter. Here is a picture of it.

N.A.S.A Balloon Christchurch

Hi guys it's Hunter here with some breaking news. Wanaka airport launched a N.A.S.A balloon at 11 a.m today, today is A.N.Z.A.C day. It is in Christchurch right now. I would show you the photo that we tried too take but it is to far away to see. They are trying to get it to Argentina in 100 days, but it might get shot by a shooting star or go into a black hole while it is in space. It is a pressure balloon. Here is a picture of it from 11 a.m.



I found trying to find a good picture of it in google but they have put loads of pictures on since then but I am sticking with the one I have.

My Favourite Book

Drag Racer V3

Hi guys it's Hunter here today i'm sharing my favourite game on a device. I like this game because you can choose what ever car you want, such as a Audi R8 or a Shelby Mustang. My car is a maxed out Jaguar XJ220. This is a picture of it in the game.

The hard thing about this game is trying to max the car out. It took me 2 hours of racing to max this car out. Each race gave me 1 thousand dollars. That's all from me BLOG YOU LATER!!!!

The Water Cycle

Hi bloggers it's Hunter here, this last few weeks I have been working on my Water cycle. This was inspired by my friend Angus. He brought the experiment to school for us to learn about. It was very inspiring for lots of people. Chrysler brought a experiment of his own to school for us to learn about. It was a vinegar and baking soda volcano. Here is my Water cycle doc.

The Water Cycle

1. Big bowl

2. Small bowl

3. Glad wrap

4. Weight

5. Boiled Water

6. Salt

Step 1: You will have to put the equipment on a table.

Step 2: Next pour the Boiled Water a couple of center metres in the big bowl.

Step 3: After that add salt to the boiled water.

Step 4: Then put the small bowl in the center of the big bowl.

Step 5: Soon after that you have to put the glad wrap on top of the big bowl.

Step 6: Now you put your weight in the middle of the glad wrap and wait 30 minutes.

You will see the Boiled water evaporate on to the glad wrap and your weight will slowly work wonders by dragging the boiled water into the bowl and it comes out fresh water.

I found how long you have to wait the hardest because I had no idea how long it should be.

Tables Test Progress

Today we did tables test I like tables test because it improves your times tables. I did level 5 it went good but only one took me 10 seconds. The rest took me about 5 or 6 seconds.

I found finding all the answers the hard part because there are heaps to choose from.

How To Play Ball Rush

Hi guys it's Hunter here this last week I have been working on my How To Do Bull Rush doc. It was quite fun because I got it finished quickly. This is a game of roughness so if you're not into that stuff don't play it. Here is my How To Do Bull Rush.


Ball Rush is all about being rough it is fun because you have to escape from the person or people who are trying to tackle you. The equipment you use ar people and cones. Step:1 You have to make your mind up of who is going to be the tackler. Step:2 You run as fast and as hard as you can or KA-BOOM you will be on the ground. If you get on the ground for 3 seconds you have to be a tackler to. Step:3 If you make it past the tackler you get to run again but it will be much harder because he/she will have sum back up. You also can’t tackle above the chest. When the game is over you will have been the last one standing on the side of the field.

I found doing the step by step bit the hardest because I like to explain it by talking.

Hi guys it's Hunter here, today we have done tables test. I like tables test because you get to choose what level and it makes you quick at your times tables. Rugby League

Hi guys it's Hunter here, today I am doing a post about my favourite thing to do in the world it is Rugby League. I love Rugby League. The team that I play for is the Hornby Panthers. Every year we win the finals because of our fitness level and our team work. Also our enemies are the Halswell Hornets. My favourite bit about doing Rugby League is the roughness. I love being rough. My favourite NRL team is the Warriors. My favourite player is Roger Tuivasa Sheck. Here is a image of him and the warriors.

If I could describe myself it would be i'm rough, athletic and kind. Sometimes I can be lazy if my legs are sore. The things I like are rugby league, football/soccer, I also like food and my family and friends. The thing's I don't like are bullies, injuries, cheetahs in league and the Halswell Hornets . Port Hills Fire

Port Hills Fire

This past two weeks we have been writing about the port hills. This is my story about the fire.

When the Port Hills were on fire I was at home listening to mum and dad talking about the fire. My mum said, “did you hear about the port hills there on fire? ”. He replied “no I was at work”. Then mum said “enjoy your coffee”.

The next day at school I was playing soccer on the field, staring at the smoke above my head.  As I scored a goal the fire looked like it had spread a mile across the sky. When we went inside the fire spread even more. I started to get worried because my Dad works right next to the port hills. We heard a BOOM!!!! Across the sky and we got even more worried.

After that day victoria park was on fire I was at Blake and Bryce's house right next to the fire. We started staring out their window, while there was heaps of traffic. We started to worry a bit because it could of caught fire on their bushes. We quickly went outside to grab Dre there dog and then we went inside with him. As the inferno quickly spread across the port hills.

I felt very worried and sorry for the people that lost there home. I also felt sorry for the people that got injured. I felt the most worried for my Dad and Blake and Bryce. But now the fire is out. It got put out on thursday the 16 of february 2017.

Tables Test Progress

Today we did tables test, I did level 2 I think I done really well and I think i'm getting better and faster at my times tables. I think my tables test level 1 is my best. This is my score.

Today in math we did Times Tables test in math today. It is a site that test's your times tables skills. You also have to do it as quick as you can. This is my first score.
















I found one a bit tricky because I got it wrong by accident. My next step is to get them all right.

Foundations Of Writing

Today in literacy we did the foundations of writing. I think that it gave me a bit of a challenge but I can deal with it.

Geometry

In math we have been learning geometry. We are learning perimeters, angles, pentagons, hexagons, lines, vertexs, areas and triangles. I found the perimeters the most tricky because of how you are supposed to measure it. 2016 SCHOOL YEAR!!!!!!!!!

Today is the last day of school. We are having prizegiving. I wonder if I get anything? My favourite parts of the year were playing football with my friends. One of my other favourite things were posting to my blog and numeracy. I like to have fun and learn new things. I also enjoyed doing the dream project. I also like to do sport. My favourite sport is Rugby League. My overall favorite thing of 2016 was the prizegiving for league. I got the best back trophy. Blake got most improved and Bryce got player of the year.
